Senior Revenue Accountant (Americas Data Center)

About the role

The Senior Accountant - Revenue Accounting covers the Americas region, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant revenue recognition for recurring and non-recurring services. The role reviews contracts, applies ASC 606 and ASC 842 guidance and works with billing, collections, operations and finance teams across the full revenue lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support revenue accounting for Americas data center properties in line with U.S. GAAP and corporate policy.
• Prepare high-risk and complex journal entries and reconciliations, and review those prepared by others.
• Analyze and present revenue performance, contract and operational trends, including KPIs, to accounting leadership.
• Identify and mitigate revenue recognition risks, escalate issues promptly and help plan resolutions.
• Maintain financial controls, close timelines and processes, and look for ways to improve reporting efficiency.
• Apply ASC 606 and ASC 842 to complex contracts, multi-element arrangements and recurring revenue models.
• Support internal and external audits and contribute to transformation initiatives such as automation and reporting improvements.
• Help implement and optimize accounting software and tools, and ensure data integrity between subledgers, ERP systems and revenue tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and active CPA certification.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in high-growth environments, with at least 1 year in revenue or lease accounting.
• Experience in a large public company and in data center, telecom, SaaS, real estate or other recurring revenue sectors is highly preferred.
• Prior software implementation experience is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERPs (e.g., Blackline, Yardi, Oracle, SAP).
• Advanced Excel and data analysis with large data sets and complex contracts.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments and with senior leadership.
