Senior Research Scientist – Robotics AI

About the role

As a Senior Research Scientist in Robotics AI at Bosch, you will lead cutting‑edge research projects that advance autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems, industrial automation and robotics. You will work within the Intelligent Autonomous Systems group, collaborating with global research and engineering teams to translate innovative AI concepts into real‑world products.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct original research and engineering in core AI and machine‑learning areas such as computer vision, autonomous planning, open‑world learning and large vision‑language‑action models.
• Push the boundaries of AI‑driven robotics by integrating explainable AI techniques and reasoning capabilities into ADAS/AD and industrial automation solutions.
• Design and evaluate motion‑planning, high‑level task‑planning and decision‑making algorithms for embodied AI systems.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with global research, product and engineering teams to ensure seamless technology transfer and system integration.
• Publish research findings in top conferences and journals (e.g., CVPR, ICRA, IROS, RSS, NeurIPS, CoRL) and contribute to Bosch’s AIoT portfolio.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong track record of peer‑reviewed publications in AI, robotics or computer vision.
• 5+ years of research experience in AI/ML applied to robotics or autonomous systems.
• Ability to work independently and lead research initiatives within a multidisciplinary environment.
