Senior Relationship Manager – Commodity Derivatives

About the role

Hedgepoint Global is looking for a Senior Relationship Manager for its Professional Services team in Chicago. The role manages and expands client relationships, offering tailored commodity derivatives solutions that support risk management strategies. It is the primary point of contact for clients, bridging their commercial needs with technical solutions and coordinating with internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create and present livestock market material to clients and prospects.
• Manage and grow a client portfolio, building strong and lasting relationships.
• Understand client needs and provide consultative support in commodity derivatives and structured solutions.
• Work with Portfolio Managers to design and implement risk management strategies.
• Deliver presentations, market insights and reports with actionable recommendations.
• Act as liaison between clients and internal teams (Sales, Trading, Operations, Quant).
• Monitor client activity, performance and satisfaction, and proactively address issues or opportunities.
• Support business development by identifying cross-selling opportunities and new prospects.
• Keep up to date on commodities, derivatives and market trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance or a related field; master's preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in relationship management, client advisory or financial services.
• Fluent English; Spanish and/or Portuguese highly desirable.
• Differential: prior experience in commodity markets (grains, livestock, softs, energy), knowledge of international risk management strategies, and professional certifications such as CFA or FRM.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of derivatives, commodities and structured solutions.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, analytical and problem-solving ability, and ability to work independently with global teams.
