Senior Manager, NA Logistics Accounting

About the role

Kraft Heinz is hiring a Senior Manager, NA Logistics Accounting in Chicago, Illinois. The role reports to the Associate Director, Manufacturing and Operations Accounting and supports accurate reporting of North American logistics expenses. It requires strong business partnership with finance, operations and compliance contacts across corporate warehouse management, Operations IT, Logistics Finance, Logistics Operations, Internal Controls, internal and external audit and Inventory Controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of two North America-based employees and dotted-line reporting for an India-based employee.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of North American logistics expenses, about $1.5 billion in annual spend (part not in SAP Material Ledger).
• Partner with IT Support, Logistics Finance and other business partners to resolve logistics accounting issues.
• Identify, prevent and resolve accounting gaps caused by system issues (OTM, US Bank, Hyperion, SAP GFIN, ECC and S/4HANA).
• Cultivate subject matter expertise on logistics accounting to support audits, divestitures and other initiatives.
• Work with Logistics Finance on controls for warehouse management, including purchase order maintenance, lease agreement tracking and SAP assessment updates.
• Oversee monthly logistics accounting close routines, including supplemental accruals, and drive continuous process improvement, especially at month-end.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of finance/accounting experience, with preference for logistics or operational manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of lease accounting.
• Natural ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects at once.
• Comfortable working under strict deadlines and business pressure, with strong interpersonal, communication and conflict-management skills.

Required skills

• Excel, Power BI and other analytics tools.
• Desire to use AI tools such as CoPilot and/or Claude to improve month-end efficiency and reporting.
