Senior Provider Relations Representative

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Senior Provider Relations Representative based in Austin, Texas. The role supports and maintains cooperative working relationships with providers, helping them do business with HCSC more easily. It is a field-based position requiring provider office visits and, for consideration, residency in Austin, Texas. Sponsorship is not available.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain provider relationships to support network performance
• Serve as a resource and escalation point for provider concerns, track and resolve issues
• Educate and train providers, identify trends and evaluate provider performance
• Ensure operational and financial requirements are met
• Travel within assigned areas, including overnight stays

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business or 6 years of leadership experience
• 4 years' experience in claims, customer service, physician office, hospital or healthcare settings
• 3 years in a role involving in-depth physician/provider relations, including contracting and reimbursement
• Ability to negotiate and contract with healthcare providers
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work under pressure
• PC proficiency including Microsoft Office

Preferred qualifications

• Extensive Medicare and Medicaid claims experience
• Advanced knowledge of claims processing systems and workflows
• Strong understanding of provider reimbursement and payment policies
• Experience building relationships with physician groups, hospitals and health systems
• Experience in provider education, training and face-to-face consultations
• Knowledge of BCBSTX claims processing systems

What we offer

• Base pay range of $63,300 to $114,300, varying with skills, experience and location
