Senior Project Superintendent (Traveling)

About the role

The Senior Project Superintendent leads on‑site construction activities for large, complex projects, overseeing self‑perform labor, subcontractors and consultants while traveling between job sites. Reporting to the General Superintendent, this full‑time, exempt role ensures safety, schedule, cost, quality and partner satisfaction are met.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and enforce the project safety program, develop site‑specific safety plans, and act as the OSHA competent person.
• Supervise construction to ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, tools and materials for self‑perform operations and maintain the material delivery log.
• Create and manage the Site‑Specific Quality Plan and conduct onsite material verification.
• Assist the Project Manager with budgeting, track time‑and‑material costs, and process subcontractor requisitions.
• Develop baseline schedules, monitor progress against critical path dates, and lead daily stand‑up and weekly foreman meetings.
• Identify field changes, authorize change requests and ensure proper documentation for compensation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in construction supervision, preferably on large, multi‑discipline projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
• Proven ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings, specifications and submittals.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on schedule adherence and budget control.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to manage crews, subcontractors and external partners.
