Senior Project Manager – Remote (Federal Construction)

About the role

KOMAN Construction Sustainable Solutions, LLC is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple federal construction projects from planning through closeout. This remote position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to mentor project managers while ensuring schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee large federal construction contracts (renovation, design/build, ground‑up) ranging from $1M to $50M+
• Mentor and guide project managers and field staff, fostering professional growth
• Prepare and review budgets, cash flow, subcontract agreements, scopes of work, and pay applications
• Ensure compliance with federal contract types (JOC, IDIQ, SATOC, MATOC) and Prompt Pay Act requirements
• Monitor project financials, forecast performance, and support revenue goals
• Manage A/E firms, subcontractors, and coordinate throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in bidding, proposal development, subcontracting, and change‑order management
• Maintain positive client and subcontractor relationships to generate future opportunities

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7–10 years of experience managing federal construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, USEPA, USAF, NPS, Coast Guard)
• Strong understanding of federal contracts and compliance requirements
• Proven leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel up to 25%, and ability to obtain security clearances
