Senior Project Manager – Mechanical Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial mechanical projects for a leading employee‑owned contractor in Los Angeles. The role combines hands‑on construction oversight with client relationship development and team mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction projects from pre‑construction through close‑out.
• Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring successful execution and long‑term relationship growth.
• Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasting, cost control, billing, and change orders.
• Coordinate engineering, purchasing, field operations, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Oversee procurement, contract administration, and installation sequencing.
• Mentor Project Engineers and Project Managers while contributing to office growth and business development.

Required profile

• 10+ years managing commercial mechanical construction projects, including HVAC and plumbing.
• Proven success on projects ranging from several million dollars to $100M+.
• Strong understanding of project financial management, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
• Demonstrated ability to build lasting client relationships and generate repeat business.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
