Senior Project Manager

About the role

A leading commercial general contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to drive complex construction projects from pre‑construction through close‑out. You will oversee schedules, budgets, subcontractors and client relationships while ensuring safety, quality and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from award to completion, handling multiple sites simultaneously.
• Lead pre‑construction activities such as subcontractor buy‑out, permitting, scheduling and startup.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets, providing monthly financial reporting.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and field teams.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, contracts and close‑out documentation.
• Monitor labor productivity, project performance and profitability, resolving issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements and contract obligations.
• Mentor junior project managers and support operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of project management experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Proven ability to manage multiple commercial projects of varying size.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
