Senior Project Manager, IT Projects

About the role

Esri is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its Information Systems and Technology (IST) team in Redlands. You will lead strategic IT and enterprise projects, working closely with IST teams, business colleagues and leaders across the organization. You will coordinate cross-team and cross-division efforts, set timelines, track progress, manage risks and communicate with the project team and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross-divisional project teams to deliver Esri's strategic IT projects.
• Define project scope, deliverables, milestones and completion criteria.
• Develop and manage work plans (schedules, release plans, communication plans, RACIs) and drive accountability.
• Coordinate internal and external resources, including vendors.
• Monitor project health and share status updates with stakeholders.
• Help teams identify and mitigate risks and resolve issues.
• Communicate with team members, executives, technical teams and vendors, and act as a trusted intermediary with sponsors, stakeholders, SMEs and management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the IST project management practice.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a project manager delivering complex IT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to make sound decisions.
• Willingness to incorporate security and data privacy safeguards into work.

Required skills

• Knowledge of project management principles and experience leading agile, waterfall and hybrid projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influence skills.
• Preferred: PMP certification, organizational change management experience, and experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Teams.

• Estimated base salary of $74,880-$150,280 USD.
