Senior Project Manager – Healthcare Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex healthcare construction projects for a leading design‑build general contractor. This on‑site, full‑time position in St. Louis offers the chance to manage technically demanding builds in highly regulated environments while fostering long‑term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead healthcare projects through all phases, from pre‑construction and design coordination to close‑out and turnover.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, staffing plans, logistics, phasing strategies, and risk assessments.
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, cost control, and change‑order processes for projects exceeding $10M.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and operational continuity on occupied‑site projects.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Proven success delivering large‑scale, regulated healthcare projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare construction regulations, infection control requirements, and compliance standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
