Senior Project Manager – Education Projects

About the role

JRM is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead education‑focused construction projects across the United States. You will act as the primary client liaison, oversee on‑site teams, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement JRM’s operational playbook and safety program on all assigned projects.
• Lead pre‑construction activities, including schedule development, site logistics planning, pricing studies, and value‑engineering workshops.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from inception through close‑out, coordinating design teams, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies, create bid packages, evaluate proposals, and negotiate subcontract awards.
• Oversee shop drawing, submittal, RFI, MEPS coordination, and document control processes.
• Monitor project performance metrics such as schedule, cost, change management, and financial forecasting, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
• Maintain strong relationships with designers, consultants, and regulatory agencies, and lead project meetings and problem‑solving sessions.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience managing complex construction projects, preferably in the education sector.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and team‑building skills, with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Demonstrated business acumen and ability to mentor on‑site staff.
• Commitment to safety standards and quality documentation.
