Senior Product Test Engineer – Automation, ArcGIS Enterprise

About the role

Esri is hiring a Senior Product Test Engineer for its ArcGIS Enterprise portal team in Redlands. You will design and evolve a resilient automated test framework that reflects real-world use cases, strengthening automated coverage with each new feature and helping interpret test results and root causes of issues.

Key responsibilities

• Set the scope, vision and priorities of the test automation team based on team and stakeholder software quality needs
• Collaborate with product engineers and developers to define the vision and scope of automated tests for ArcGIS Enterprise
• Work with feature teams to gather, design and scope test cases, which are implemented by software development engineers in test
• Monitor and analyze test results and work with teams to ensure software quality and release readiness
• Document and communicate software issues found in automated and manual testing, ensuring they are tracked, triaged and addressed
• Reproduce customer-reported bugs and work with developers to resolve them
• Advocate for software quality, test automation and accurate reporting for the Enterprise team

Required profile

• 5+ years of software testing experience and execution of automated tests (e.g., Selenium or related tools)
• Experience with an application development language such as Java, C# or Python
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS platform technologies
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, geography, GIS, mathematics or a related field
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and self-motivated interest in continuous learning

Required skills

• Manual and automated testing practices for functional, regression and performance scenarios
• Recommended: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), familiarity with JSON, REST, Fiddler and browser debugging tools, experience with TestRail, and familiarity with the Agile lifecycle
