Senior Product Engineer - National Imagery

About the role

Esri is looking for a Senior Product Engineer to help lead the development of advanced image analysis solutions for the defense and intelligence community. The engineer designs, tests, documents and deploys software that applies photogrammetry, remote sensing and AI to geospatial capabilities, defines critical functionality and shapes user experiences. The role is onsite at the Tysons R&D Center.

Key responsibilities

• Design, document and test software solutions for imagery products supporting defense and intelligence formats such as NITF, GeoTIFF, CADRG and FMV video
• Work with software developers to integrate and test analytical toolkits and libraries into ArcGIS
• Orchestrate and document results from defense and intelligence lab testing
• Collaborate on software projects, planning future releases
• Define, document and prioritize user requirements and develop best practices for using GIS software in remote sensing scenarios
• Potentially lead the design, development and documentation of automated QA plans and tests (SOPs, image quality metrics and regression testing)

Required profile

• 5+ years of engineering experience on COTS or GOTS software products
• Advanced experience in remote sensing, image processing, photogrammetry or image analysis
• Proven ability to lead major testing or design efforts and mentor others
• Bachelor's degree in geography, engineering, remote sensing, photogrammetry or a related field
• Able to work with controlled unclassified information (CUI)
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI access
