Senior Process Engineer

About the role

The Senior Process Engineer drives operational excellence at a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing facility in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. The role provides technical leadership for manufacturing processes, equipment optimization, new product introductions and large-scale continuous improvement, and mentors Process Engineers and Operations teams. It is an onsite position, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for production operations and develop, optimize and standardize manufacturing processes, work instructions and SOPs
• Lead cross-functional capital and operational improvement projects, including timelines, budgets, dashboards and coordination with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Automation, Supply Chain and Maintenance
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping initiatives, and use data analytics to find bottlenecks
• Lead root cause analysis (DMAIC, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA) and validate CAPAs
• Analyze KPIs such as OEE, FPY, throughput, cycle time, scrap, rework, labor efficiency and cost per unit, and build reports in Excel, Power BI or similar tools
• Mentor Process Engineers and coach supervisors on Lean Manufacturing, and lead engineering reviews and training sessions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high-volume environment
• Experience leading large cross-functional projects and managing budgets, schedules and resources
• Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required, Black Belt preferred
• Experience with highly automated manufacturing systems and NPI/product launches

• AutoCAD for manufacturing layouts
• Statistical Process Control (SPC), Minitab and process capability analysis
• Power BI or advanced manufacturing analytics experience is helpful

Pay range: $74,600 - $124,700.
