Senior Pricing Analyst - Pro Pricing

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Analyst, Pro Pricing to support the development and execution of pricing strategies. The role provides subject matter expertise, project management and analytical support, working with cross-functional partners such as marketing, operations and strategy, and supporting merchants directly so they can understand their business, test pricing strategies and reach their objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and measure pricing actions to understand the trade-off between units sold, sales and gross margin, then use the learnings to help merchants reach their financial objectives (50%)
• Conduct research to become a subject matter expert on a specific segment of pricing and statistical analysis (20%)
• Work across the organization with cross-functional teams to provide expert analytical support, for example on domestic logistics or global supply chain costs (10%)
• Develop and deliver presentations that summarize complex analyses and drive business decisions (20%)

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Minimum education: bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job; preferred: master's degree in Statistics, Analytics, Engineering, Operations, Finance or another quantitative subject
• 2 years of work experience preferred
• Ability to learn quickly and independently, strong business acumen, and proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data

Required skills

• Understanding of pricing and statistics
• Tableau and SQL
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel and other statistical software or pricing packages
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally
