Senior Practice Manager – Palmetto Bay & Lennar

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Senior Practice Manager to oversee its Palmetto Bay and Lennar locations. In this role you will direct daily operations, ensure efficient patient scheduling for clinics and surgeries, and lead a team of office and clinical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate activities of office and clinic personnel across both locations.
• Approve time‑and‑attendance records and oversee hiring, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
• Develop, train, recruit and evaluate staff to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Set goals, monitor performance and provide coaching for support staff.
• Supervise scheduling support staff for neurological physicians to ensure patient access and satisfaction.
• Maintain and adjust job descriptions and implement inventory control for supplies.
• Participate in university meetings on UCare, Epic implementation, HIPAA compliance and third‑party contracts.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, university policies and resolve employee, patient and physician issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience directing daily operations of a medical practice or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership and staff‑management abilities, including recruitment, training and performance evaluation.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on patient access, scheduling efficiency and satisfaction.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, administrators and external partners.

Required skills

• Experience with the Epic electronic health‑record system.
