Senior Platform Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a senior engineer to design, build, and operate the cloud‑native platform that powers our products. This hands‑on role focuses on production Kubernetes clusters, Go services, and platform reliability, working remotely on Pacific‑hour schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production Kubernetes clusters, including networking, workload isolation, and multi‑region topologies.
• Develop and maintain custom Kubernetes controllers, operators, and resource‑quota management.
• Implement service‑mesh capabilities such as mTLS, service‑account authentication, and traffic management.
• Write and maintain production services, controllers, and middleware in Go, Python, or Java.
• Build HTTP, REST, and gRPC interfaces for internal engineering teams.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem creation for platform‑level issues.
• Define SLOs, create actionable alerting, and develop observability dashboards.
• Own infrastructure‑as‑code, author reusable modules, and maintain CI/CD/GitOps pipelines.
• Plan and execute cloud‑migration initiatives across providers while ensuring reliability and minimal downtime.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with a track record of delivering large‑scale cloud‑native platforms.
• Comfortable owning ambiguous, multi‑quarter initiatives and driving them to production.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for distributed systems performance and reliability.
