Senior Oracle Functional Consultant – GL & Budgetary Control

About the role

Next Generation Inc is looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Functional Consultant to lead the design and implementation of Oracle Cloud ERP modules focused on General Ledger and Budgetary Control for a public sector organization. This hybrid role combines hands‑on configuration with stakeholder engagement to deliver efficient financial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead functional design and configuration of Oracle Cloud ERP GL and Budgetary Control modules.
• Gather and analyze business requirements through workshops and interviews, translating them into functional specifications.
• Configure workflows, processes, and integrations with third‑party systems.
• Lead system testing, including test planning, case development, and execution.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, advising clients on optimization and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Minimum 10 years as an Oracle ERP functional consultant, with at least 5 years in public‑sector GL and budgetary control.
• Strong knowledge of public‑sector accounting, fund accounting, encumbrance accounting and fiscal reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Oracle Cloud ERP configuration (General Ledger, Budgetary Control, Financials).
• Public sector budgeting processes and regulatory requirements.

What we offer

• Competitive base salary $100,000‑$130,000 USD per year, based on experience and location.
