Senior Operator – Graveyard Shift (11pm to 7:30am)

About the role

The Senior Operator leads the night‑shift production team, ensuring safe, efficient operation of plant machinery from 11 pm to 7:30 am. You will coordinate daily tasks, mentor junior staff, and help meet production, quality, and safety targets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery according to SOPs.
• Lead the graveyard shift, providing guidance and support to operators and production workers.
• Achieve production targets while upholding quality standards and safety protocols.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting to reduce downtime.
• Train and mentor new and junior operators.
• Record and report daily production data, downtime, and process deviations.
• Collaborate with quality assurance, continuous improvement, and maintenance teams.
• Maintain documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and suggest process improvements for efficiency and safety.
• Participate in safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (technical/vocational training preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven experience operating and maintaining production machinery.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and quality control standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work orders.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for long periods.
