Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer – PoP Deployment

About the role

Quvia is seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to own the design, deployment, and operation of Point‑of‑Presence (PoP) networks. You will work closely with junior engineers to deliver resilient, high‑performance connectivity that bridges edge environments with the cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Design PoP network topology with redundancy, resilience, and failover testing.
• Manage internet transit providers, including selection, port sizing, diversity planning, SLA tracking, and escalation.
• Oversee end‑to‑end interconnection: cross‑connect ordering, colocation lifecycle, IXP participation, and peering coordination.
• Define and maintain BGP policy, route filtering, communities, traffic engineering, and DDoS mitigation.
• Administer internet number resources: RIR allocations, ASN records, IRR objects, and RPKI/ROA.
• Monitor bandwidth utilization, forecast capacity, and plan upgrades.
• Maintain hardware Bill of Materials, validate configurations, and manage lifecycle.
• Collaborate with data‑center teams for staging, turn‑up, and acceptance procedures.

Required profile

• Senior‑level network engineer with extensive experience in PoP or data‑center environments.
• Proven track record designing resilient network topologies and managing BGP policies.
• Strong understanding of internet transit, peering, and IXP operations.
• Experience handling RIR allocations, ASN management, and RPKI/ROA.
• Ability to lead junior staff through deployment and testing phases.
