Field Service Representative - Tactical Networks

About the role

Booz Allen is looking for a Field Service Representative who monitors network administration and maintenance operations, manages the evolution of existing operational networks and resolves network incidents so that network operations run smoothly. The role calls for advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge, and involves mentoring and supervising team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the design evolution of existing operational networks
• Resolve network incidents to keep network operations running smoothly
• Develop innovative solutions to complex problems
• Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members

Required profile

• Associate's degree and more than 2 years of experience with tactical mission networks, or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking with more than 1 year of such experience, or 3+ years of experience with tactical mission networks in lieu of a degree
• TS/SCI clearance; applicants are subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Required skills

• On-site technical expertise for system operation, maintenance and repair
• Preventive and corrective maintenance strategies
• Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex system failures
• Operational readiness and system availability in support of mission requirements
• Interface with engineering teams to resolve systemic and design issues
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, logs and reports

Nice to have: TACLAN, MANET (Silvus, Persistent Systems, Trellisware), SDN, WINTAK, TAK, TRAX and Security+ certification.
