Senior Network Automation Engineer, Full-Stack

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer to bridge traditional networking with modern software engineering. You will lead the design, development, and scaling of automation solutions that keep our network infrastructure agile, secure, and resilient.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement complex automation solutions using NextJS, JavaScript, Python, and Java SpringBoot within an OpenShift environment.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and conduct rigorous code reviews.
• Manage the full release lifecycle, including security compliance, architectural reviews, and production readiness testing.
• Build and maintain high‑performance integrations with MuleSoft API Gateways and ServiceNow.
• Create intuitive self‑service network management interfaces using Angular.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation to ensure continuous availability of critical automation services.

Required profile

• 6–9 years of senior‑level experience in software engineering and network automation.
• 3–5 years of experience with full‑stack development and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver production‑grade solutions.
