Senior Merchandise Planner – Sports Retail

About the role

The Senior Merchandise Planner will drive sales, inventory and profitability for sports‑team merchandise across retail and e‑commerce channels. Based in Woodinville, WA, the role works onsite four days a week and remotely one day.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage sales, inventory and receipt budgets at sub‑category and vendor level, maintaining Open‑to‑Buy plans.
• Produce and analyze sales and inventory reports, providing recommendations to meet margin and profitability goals.
• Partner with merchandisers on assortment planning, vendor negotiations and product launches.
• Design allocation strategies for game‑day and store‑level inventory, coordinating shipment schedules with distribution and arena leadership.
• Oversee inventory accuracy initiatives, cycle counts and reconciliation reporting.
• Maintain retail pricing in systems, analyze performance for promotions, markdowns and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Merchandise Planning, Supply Chain, Retail Management or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in retail planning, merchandise planning, allocation or inventory management.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with retail reporting tools.
