Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer

About the role

The Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer leads the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing test processes and advanced automated test systems at Beta Bionics. This role ensures product quality and reliability through robust test methods, scalable software solutions, and full equipment validation lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate manufacturing test methods, fixtures, and complex automated test systems.
• Architect and maintain scalable test software using Python for data acquisition, execution, and analysis.
• Integrate test hardware (DAQ systems, sensors, PLCs) with software platforms and ensure system‑level performance.
• Lead in‑house Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and manage the full IQ/OQ/PQ validation lifecycle.
• Analyze large datasets with Python, SQL, or similar tools to drive yield improvement and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and leadership on cross‑functional technical discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering, preferably in medical devices or highly regulated industries.
• Strong problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Python programming for test automation, data analysis and equipment control.
• SQL and data‑analysis libraries such as Pandas.
• Hands‑on experience with DAQ systems, sensors, PLCs and test hardware integration.
• Expertise in FAT, SAT and validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Familiarity with MES systems and digital manufacturing integration.
• Lean / Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred).
