Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Mechanical

About the role

Reliable Robotics is developing safety‑critical automated aviation systems. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical) will lead the design and continuous improvement of manufacturing, installation, and supply‑chain processes for mechanical, electromechanical, and avionics products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build installation processes for mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical/avionics assemblies, including COTS components.
• Conduct Design for Excellence (DFx) reviews to assess cost, producibility, inspectability, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and certification teams to embed manufacturability and risk mitigation across prototype, R&D, certification, and production phases.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, inspection plans, test procedures, and documentation in the quality management system.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions to ensure schedule, quality, and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or systems engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, design, or testing of complex hardware.
• 2+ years of experience with CAD and PLM tools.
• Experience with industry standards such as AS9100 and FAA regulations (e.g., 14 CFR 21.137, Part 145).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and ability to work in a safety‑critical environment.
