Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Aircraft Operations

About the role

Reliable Robotics is developing safety‑critical automation systems for aviation. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will lead the installation, maintenance and continuous improvement of mechanical, electromechanical and avionics assemblies across multiple aircraft platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, repair and modify Reliable‑designed aircraft assemblies, harnesses and COTS components.
• Conduct Design for Excellence (DFx) reviews to evaluate cost, producibility, inspectability and compliance.
• Collaborate with design, quality and certification teams to embed manufacturability and risk mitigation throughout product development.
• Develop and enforce policies, procedures, quality management system documents, technical bulletins and airworthiness directives.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions to maintain schedule, quality and reliability.
• Oversee routine and non‑routine aircraft installations, inspections and maintenance to ensure safety and availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace or systems engineering or 7+ years of relevant experience.
• 7+ years of aircraft design, manufacturing, inspection or testing experience.
• 2+ years leading complex aerospace, autonomy or robotics projects.
• FAA‑accredited Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate preferred.
• Experience with AS9100, CFR 14 Part 21.137 and/or Part 145 compliance.

Required skills

• Computer‑aided design (CAD) and PLM tools – Altium, Siemens NX, Teamcenter.
• Design for Excellence (DFx) methodology.
• Aircraft maintenance, rigging and modification procedures.
• Knowledge of turbine‑powered aircraft systems and regulatory requirements.
