Senior Manager / Manager of Accounting

About the role

Cvent is seeking a Senior Manager/Manager of Accounting to lead its accounting function in Tysons Corner, VA. This hybrid role (2 days onsite) reports to the VP, Finance & Global Controller and oversees a team of Staff and Senior Accountants while collaborating with the India office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full financial close process and ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages.
• Approve financial transactions within designated limits and enforce proper handling of all entries.
• Analyze financial data, prepare summary reports, and monitor GAAP compliance.
• Support SOX audit activities and maintain internal controls.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, coordinating with staff in the United States and India.
• Oversee Blackline and Alteryx tools for reconciliation and data automation.
• Assist with international financial reporting and post‑merger accounting integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven leadership in managing an accounting function.
• Big 4 experience and CPA designation preferred.
• Public‑company financial reporting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and excellent communication skills.
