Senior Manager, Internal Communications

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to shape and deliver GoFundMe’s internal messaging. In this high‑impact, visible role you will define the internal voice, keep employees informed and inspired, and partner with senior leaders and the People team to ensure clear, consistent communication across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the internal communications strategy, establishing scalable approaches across channels, audiences and key moments.
• Develop and operationalize a consistent internal voice and narrative that aligns executives and teams.
• Partner with senior leaders to craft executive communications and high‑visibility company announcements.
• Create messaging, communication plans and manage execution from draft through approval to delivery.
• Build efficient workflows, cadences and tools—including AI‑enabled solutions—to support high‑quality communications at scale.
• Collaborate closely with the People team to align on priorities, messaging cadence and employee engagement.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in internal or employee communications.
• Proven ability to set strategy and execute independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong experience advising senior leaders on executive communications.
• Track record leading communications for high‑stakes or high‑visibility moments such as company announcements or organizational changes.
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a clear sense of voice and tone.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across cross‑functional stakeholders and navigate complex processes.
• Builder mindset – energized by creating structure where none exists.
• Experience in mission‑driven organizations is a plus.
