Senior Manager Data Registry

About the role

The Senior Manager, Data Registry will lead the standardization of registry practices across the Cleveland Clinic health system. This role ensures reliable clinical data collection, validation, and reporting for all hospitals and qualifying facilities. The position is remote, with a typical workday of 8:00 am‑5:00 pm (or 9:00 am‑5:30 pm) and requires occasional travel within Ohio.

Key responsibilities

• Standardize registry processes, develop data entry and quality standards, and oversee patient identification for inclusion in registries.
• Manage submission of clinical data to national registries, ensure compliance with registry requirements, and protect patient PHI.
• Analyze registry data to identify improvement opportunities, benchmark performance, and lead quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Supervise registry staff, conduct hiring, performance reviews, training, and salary administration.
• Facilitate cross‑facility collaboration, break down silos, and lead change‑management efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field and at least seven years of progressive informatics experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of information technology, data abstraction, data analysis, and research principles.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: Master’s degree, prior leadership experience, and certifications such as CSTR, CAISS, ICD‑10, RHIT, RHIA, or CPC.
