Senior Manager, Construction – $130k-$176k

About the role

The Senior Manager, Construction leads the end‑to‑end delivery of complex capital repair projects, overseeing field operations, budgets, and schedules. Reporting to the Director or Senior Director of Construction, this role ensures projects align with design standards, financial goals, and internal processes while fostering strong cross‑functional relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor safety programs and verify construction progress against design standards.
• Review project schedules, subcontractor issues, and city requirements with the General Contractor’s Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and change order processes, coordinating between field teams and consultants.
• Collaborate with the Director to update weekly project budgets and provide formal updates to stakeholders.
• Lead project closeout, coordinating warranties, as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, and turnover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in multifamily construction project management.
• 4+ years in construction management or engineering.
• OSHA 30‑hour Construction certification (California).
• Valid California driver’s license and continuous vehicle liability insurance.
• Occasional travel as needed.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets).
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience using Smartsheet for project tracking.
