Senior Manager, Business Development Strategic Planning (Hybrid)

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Senior Manager, Business Development Strategic Planning for its Instruments Division, based in the Portage, MI office. The role leads the division's annual strategic planning process: setting the vision, managing deliverables, organizing inputs, summarizing conclusions for divisional leadership and tracking progress against KPIs and strategic initiatives. It is a hybrid position with 10% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex business problems with strategic frameworks and data to identify opportunities and clarify challenges.
• Source, model and interpret data from internal and external sources into actionable insights.
• Develop and evaluate strategic options through research, benchmarking and stakeholder interviews, assessing trade-offs and resources.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to communicate recommendations and build alignment.
• Assess the financial implications of recommendations within a complex P&L.
• Drive strategy implementation by setting up tracking processes, scorecards and metrics.
• Lead the annual strategic planning process, coordinating timelines, deliverables and contributors across a matrixed organization.
• Mentor analytical professionals, build cross-divisional relationships and manage external consultants and research firms.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 10 years of work experience.
• Preferred: MBA and minimum 5 years in consulting, corporate development, strategy, MedTech marketing, private equity or MedTech investment banking.
• Demonstrated financial acumen, including P&L management and financial analysis.
• Strong presentation skills and executive communication abilities.

Pay range: $135,600 - $225,900 USD per year.
