Senior Maintenance Technician – Roving (Portland, OR)

About the role

The Greystar Roving Flex Team needs a senior maintenance technician to travel across multiple properties in the Portland area, providing hands‑on technical support, preventative maintenance, and make‑ready services.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to safety standards and code.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, cleaning, and painting.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and respond to on‑call assignments.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license for reliable transportation and potential golf‑cart operation.

Required skills

• EPA Type I refrigerant recycling certification.
• EPA Type II refrigerant recycling certification.
• Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• General HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems troubleshooting.
