Senior Maintenance Technician

About the role

Agropur is hiring a Maintenance Technician III for its Little Chute, Wisconsin plant, which makes IQF sticks for the appetizer industry. The technician performs routine and breakdown maintenance on processing and packaging equipment, keeps the plant running and compliant with rules and regulations, and troubleshoots processes. The schedule is 2-2-3 nights, 6pm to 6am, with a night-shift premium of $1.50 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular and preventative maintenance on plant, equipment and grounds in line with OSHA safety policies, keeping records and logs accurate
• Provide emergency repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and prepare machinery for scheduled production runs
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders, and train or mentor new technicians
• Oversee the preventive maintenance program: review production lines, schedule and assign PM tasks, track completion and overdue tasks
• Work with production supervisors and crews to minimize downtime while maintaining quality, and support food safety and quality as backup to the supervisor
• Complete work orders in-house systems, and occasionally liaise with suppliers, vendors and regulatory agencies

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; journeyman degree required (Little Chute and Weyauwega only)
• Minimum four years of maintenance or electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience reading electrical prints, troubleshooting circuits and working with three-phase motors, transformers and control circuits
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred (Little Chute only); state Master's or Journeyman electrician license required (Luxemburg only)

Required skills

• Effective communication, problem solving and independent work with minimal supervision
• Basic math, fractions, decimals, percentages and algebra
• Basic computer skills to input and retrieve computerized information
