Senior Maintenance Technician

About the role

This position is responsible for performing various equipment maintenance and repair activities on a wide spectrum of machines. It plays a key role in maintaining manufacturing equipment installations and ensuring production schedules are met.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain assigned production equipment at peak effectiveness while minimizing downtime and staying within budget.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with area leads according to production build plans.
• Recommend and participate in process and equipment improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis during equipment malfunctions.
• Provide project support to area leads and engineers.
• Coordinate tooling and equipment repairs with suppliers as needed.
• Train personnel on troubleshooting and minor machine repairs.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for corrective maintenance.
• Communicate handoffs between outgoing and incoming maintenance technicians.
• Identify quality issues for further investigation and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; AA or two‑year technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience with a technical degree, or 15+ years without.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with a variety of machinery and equipment.
• Capable of reading and interpreting specifications and prints.
• Team‑oriented and able to follow safety procedures.

Required skills

• Pneumatic, mechanical and electrical machinery expertise.
• Operation of lathes and milling machines to fabricate precision parts.
• Troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Working knowledge of QSR and ISO regulations.
• Basic computer proficiency.
