Senior Logistics Procurement Buyer

About the role

The Senior Logistics Procurement Buyer will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for logistics services that support efficient, reliable, and cost‑effective supply‑chain operations across Beer, Wine & Spirits. Partnering with Logistics, Transportation, Planning, Operations, Finance, Legal and external suppliers, this role secures capacity, optimises landed cost and mitigates risk.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a $1B logistics spend portfolio covering transportation, warehousing, brokerage, ocean freight and related services.
• Lead competitive sourcing events, evaluate carrier and supplier proposals, and make selection recommendations.
• Administer contracts, monitor supplier performance, and ensure compliance with company policies and trade regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align logistics requirements with business continuity, cost, service and risk objectives.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, rate governance and productivity projects to deliver measurable savings.
• Provide coverage for higher‑complexity procurement activities as business needs evolve.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics or transportation procurement, preferably managing multimillion‑dollar spend.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent judgment and independent decision‑making capability.
• Familiarity with logistics networks, carrier capacity management and supply‑chain risk mitigation.
