Senior Litigation Associate - Complex Casualty (5-9 Years)

About the role

Marshall Dennehey, P.C., an Am Law 200 civil defense firm with more than sixty years of service, is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate with five to nine or more years of civil litigation experience for its Tampa office. The role handles complex, high-exposure matters for Fortune 500 clients in a collaborative and supportive environment. It is a hands-on position for an experienced litigator, working with a high degree of autonomy and professional judgment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate liability and damages
• Prepare detailed client reports
• Take and defend depositions
• Draft and argue substantive and dispositive motions
• Manage all aspects of litigation on high-exposure cases
• Work independently on assigned matters while collaborating closely with partners
• May assist in mentoring junior attorneys within the group

Required profile

• Five to nine or more years of civil litigation experience
• Ability to manage complex litigation efficiently and effectively
• Strong analytical skills and organization

Practice areas

The group covers premises and retail liability, negligent security, products liability, rideshare liability, construction defect and injury, public entity and civil rights, and commercial auto and trucking litigation. Many matters involve catastrophic losses, multiple claimants and fatalities.
