Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Emerging Travel Group is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its global travel‑tech team. The role is fully remote and supports the company’s expansion across Europe, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and public‑facing legal documents, identifying risks and delivering business‑oriented solutions.
• Support the design and launch of new travel products, booking flows, payment solutions and commercial models across multiple jurisdictions.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments in consumer protection, e‑commerce, travel regulation, payment regulation and digital platform law.
• Advise on payment flows, merchant models, PSP integrations and the regulatory impact of international payment structures.
• Lead implementation of regulatory changes, manage external counsel and translate local advice into scalable business processes.

Required profile

• Qualified to practice law in England & Wales, the United States or an EU Member State.
• 7+ years post‑qualification experience, including significant in‑house legal work for international consumer technology, digital platforms or travel‑tech businesses.
• Substantial experience supporting an online travel agency, travel marketplace, travel distribution platform or similar international travel‑technology operation.
