Senior Lead Lift Operator

About the role

Discovery Land Company is seeking a Senior Lead Lift Operator for its Homewood Mountain & Lake Club location on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. The role oversees daily lift operations, ensures safety compliance, and delivers an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily lift operations and supervise lift operators across chairlift terminals.
• Conduct pre‑season training with the Lift Operations Supervisor.
• Maintain ANSI B77 compliance for all lift equipment.
• Ensure loading and unloading areas are clear, safe, and ready for guests.
• Set up signage and mazes based on daily demand.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and on‑the‑job development for lift staff.
• Manage break and meal schedules to guarantee proper staffing.
• Oversee snow removal and other operational tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of lift operations experience.
• At least 1 year in a lead lift operator role.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and train employees in a safety‑focused environment.
• Strong situational awareness and attentiveness during passenger loading and unloading.
• Confident communication with guests to ensure safety.

Required skills

• ANSI B77 compliance knowledge.
