Senior Java Developer – Onsite in Cincinnati

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our Cincinnati team on‑site. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining complex Java and Vue applications that support both back‑end services and client‑facing components.

Key responsibilities

• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional Java/Vue applications.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise effective solutions.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• 5–7 years of experience working in a team environment.
• Strong proficiency in Java; knowledge of the insurance domain is a plus.
• Experience with paired programming, JavaScript, and Vue.
• Familiarity with design and architectural patterns, concurrency, MVC, JDBC, and RESTful services.
• Experience with external and embedded databases and scalable application design.
• Understanding of class loading mechanisms and test‑driven development.
• Proficiency with Git and build tools such as Ant, Maven, or Gradle.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines; Mockito experience is a plus.
