Senior Internal Auditor (Bilingual - Spanish or French)

About the role

Air Liquide is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join its Houston team. The role provides independent, objective assurance over internal control, risk management and governance across the Americas, and requires fluency in either Spanish or French.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk‑based audits of processes, internal controls and financial activities across the Americas.
• Lead audit missions, supervise and coach junior auditors, and ensure audit quality and consistency.
• Identify risks and control weaknesses, develop value‑added recommendations and communicate findings to entity and cluster management.
• Share best practices across the region and maintain constructive relationships with audited entities.
• Utilize audit tools, work programs and risk‑analysis techniques while preserving independence and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the Americas Internal Audit VP and peers to harmonise audit standards and approaches.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or accounting.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in internal audit or related fields.
• Fluency in English and either Spanish or French.
• Proven ability to lead audit teams and communicate effectively with senior management.

Required skills

• Risk analysis and assessment.
• Use of audit tools and development of work programs.
• Preparation of audit reports and value‑added recommendations.
