Senior Information Security Ops Analyst

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Ops Analyst to lead incident response, security controls design, and AI‑driven defense initiatives while mentoring junior analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee incident response activities, manage triage and analysis workflows, and mentor junior security analysts.
• Serve as senior responder for critical incidents, lead investigations from detection through remediation, and develop post‑incident playbooks.
• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise security controls; conduct assessments and gap analyses.
• Research, evaluate, and operationalize AI/ML solutions to enhance threat detection and automation.
• Conduct advanced threat analysis, develop indicators of compromise, and translate intelligence into defensive measures.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business units to embed security into processes and systems.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on information security operational experience.
• 5+ years of incident response and forensics experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in security controls design, implementation, and assessment.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior security professionals.
• Relevant certifications such as GIAC, CISSP, CEH or equivalent.

Required skills

• Incident response and digital forensics.
• SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic).
• Endpoint detection and response (e.g., CrowdStrike, Sentinel).
• Security orchestration, automation and response tools.
• AI/ML techniques for threat detection and automation.
• Python, PowerShell scripting.
• Cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
