Principal Information Security – Identity and Data Security

About the role

As a senior leader on the Identity and Data Security team, you will shape strategy, governance and risk management for digital identities and data protection across the organization. The role blends strategic planning with hands‑on execution and reports to the Security GRC Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi‑year identity security roadmap, prioritizing risk‑based improvements.
• Oversee Identity Governance and Administration processes, including onboarding, transfers and terminations.
• Manage SSO, MFA and adaptive access policies, and secure privileged and service accounts.
• Provide security guidance for customer‑facing identity features in partnership with product and engineering.
• Assess and improve data security controls, leveraging data discovery, classification and DLP capabilities.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise senior leadership on compliance impacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10‑15 years of information security experience with deep expertise in identity and data security.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Experience aligning security programs with business goals and scaling GRC, identity or data security initiatives.

Required skills

• Enterprise IAM platforms such as Okta, Azure AD, AWS IAM.
• Identity governance tools and processes (IGA, access request automation).
• Security frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001 and related regulatory standards.
• Data protection technologies: data discovery, classification, DLP, encryption.
• Cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure) and related security controls.
