Senior Information Security Advisor – Treasury Services

About the role

The Treasury Services Division (TSD) Security Operations Team is seeking a Senior Information Security Advisor to provide consulting and hands‑on support for infrastructure and business‑application security. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will help strengthen the security posture of the Federal Reserve’s critical financial systems.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with internal clients to evaluate, design, and implement security solutions and process improvements.
• Lead continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and security risk assessments.
• Develop and update security policies, governance frameworks, and assurance reviews.
• Investigate security events escalated from the SOC and coordinate emergency response actions, including zero‑day mitigation.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management in written and verbal formats.

Required profile

• Proven experience in information security within a large, regulated environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to build relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills for advising senior leaders on security best practices.
