Senior Indirect Tax Analyst

About the role

Veeva is seeking a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst to lead end‑to‑end sales and use‑tax compliance, manage exemption certificates and drive process innovation across its indirect tax function. This hands‑on position supports the finance team in delivering operational excellence while helping the company transform the life‑sciences industry.

Key responsibilities

• Complete monthly/quarterly sales and indirect tax filings reviews.
• Research tax implications of transactions and respond to VAT, GST and other tax inquiries.
• Maintain taxability matrices and exemption certificates in collaboration with third‑party providers.
• Identify automation opportunities and process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Manage property tax compliance and coordinate with external service providers.
• Lead ad‑hoc tax projects and support state notices and audit responses.

Required profile

• 2+ years of indirect tax experience in public accounting or a multi‑state corporate environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, capable of producing comprehensive documentation.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems and indirect tax engines.
• Proficient in tax research and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Alteryx and Avalara.
