Senior HRIS Specialist

About the role

Airbus Commercial is seeking a Senior HRIS Specialist to act as a strategic product owner and technical project lead for the HR business strategy across North America. The role translates complex human capital strategies into automated enterprise solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting operational growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as senior functional Product Owner for core Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence Management, Time Tracking, Payroll) and manage the functional roadmap and backlog.
• Lead complex technical HRIS projects from initiation through post‑go‑live stabilization, including module deployments, tenant consolidations, acquisitions, and operating model transitions.
• Direct evaluation, regression testing, validation, and adoption of biannual Workday releases, and oversee system defect resolution.
• Architect and execute comprehensive testing strategies, coordinate UAT, and ensure cross‑system data integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, HR Management, Information Systems or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including 8+ years with HRIS implementations and Workday HCM Suite.
• Proven track record leading complex technical HRIS projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in global aerospace, manufacturing or defence environments is preferred.
