Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

ABB is hiring a Senior HR Business Partner for its Pinetops, NC manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Manufacturing Unit Manager, the role develops and implements people strategy through HR process execution, supports a defined team or location by partnering with managers, and represents HR in the business with business leaders and employees. The position is 100% onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure an effective HR contribution and value-add to the business in partnership with functions and Shared Services.
• Support the end-to-end employee lifecycle and execute HR priorities within the area of responsibility.
• Partner with managers to develop and implement people strategies.
• Facilitate change management initiatives and drive behavior change and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or a related discipline, plus 10+ years of HR experience; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of HR experience in a large manufacturing environment, with expertise in employee relations, organizational development, staffing, compensation and performance management.
• 5+ years as an HR Manager or leading HR Business Partner, developing and growing the site HR team.
• Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. employment law and compliance.
• 100% onsite experience required; work authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred qualifications

• Workday HR systems experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching and influencing skills.
• Ability to interact with managers, supervisors and employees at all levels.
• Non-union environment experience and employee investigation experience.
• Proven ability to deliver HR solutions with both on-site and centralized service teams.
