Senior Health Data Analyst - Payer

About the role

As a Senior Health Data Analyst on the Veeva Compass Product Team, you will support core data structures and processes that drive the development of payer reference data. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, QA, terminologists, and other analysts to deliver high‑quality payer data for the Compass suite.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new data sources and automate collection to keep payer information accurate and current.
• Execute ongoing quality‑improvement plans to refine matching processes and reduce unmapped data.
• Define and maintain governance standards, documentation, and stewardship models for the payer data domain.
• Track market trends, mergers, acquisitions, and rebranding to assess impact on data products.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and analysts to build scalable, automated processes for trusted data delivery.

Required profile

• 4+ years working with healthcare data, including at least 2 years focused on payer data.
• Deep understanding of the US insurance market and relationships between PBMs and payers.
• Proficient in SQL for querying, analyzing, and validating large data sets.
• Proven ability to identify new data sources, establish extraction best practices, and merge them into existing pipelines.
• Experience in data governance, creating and enforcing data standards and naming conventions.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to define data requirements across cross‑functional teams.
