Senior Health Data Operations Analyst

About the role

As a Senior Health Data Analyst, you will focus on analyzing health data within the Veeva Compass product suite. Veeva Compass delivers record‑level prescription and medical claims data to power longitudinal, de‑identified patient analytics for commercial use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Drive TRL Governance: maintain and expand the Terminology Reference Library, managing core reference datasets across prescription and medical claims.
• Evaluate & integrate new data: conduct deep‑dive querying, field mapping, and structural analysis to assess and incorporate new data sources.
• Execute quality & cleansing workflows: perform exploratory analysis, handle missing values, deduplicate, and ensure data completeness and accuracy.
• Continuous product improvement: investigate data anomalies, test changes, and assess downstream impact on customers.
• Build metrics & documentation: develop interactive dashboards to track data quality metrics and contribute to technical documentation.
• Cross‑functional collaboration: partner with data scientists, product managers, and developers to resolve data quality issues and build robust pipelines.

Required profile

• 4+ years experience analyzing record‑level prescription and medical claims datasets.
• 4+ years experience in health data quality analysis, profiling, and governance.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with large‑scale relational databases.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare code sets (NDC, ICD‑10, CPT/HCPCS, LOINC) and payer/plan data.
• Proven data‑storytelling ability using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Sigma or similar BI tools.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset to dive into complex, unstructured healthcare data.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM, quantitative, or healthcare informatics field, or equivalent experience.
