Senior Health Data Analyst – Payer

About the role

As a Senior Health Data Analyst on the Veeva Compass Product Team, you will support core data structures and processes that drive the development of payer data. You will work with product managers, engineers, QA, terminologists and other analysts to deliver high‑quality payer reference data for the Compass suite.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new data sources and automate collection to keep payer information accurate and current.
• Execute ongoing data‑quality improvement plans, refining matching processes and reducing unmapped data.
• Define and maintain governance standards, documentation and stewardship models for the payer data domain.
• Track market trends such as mergers, acquisitions and rebranding to assess impact on data products.
• Partner with product managers, engineers and analysts to build scalable, automated processes ensuring trusted data delivery.

Required profile

• 4+ years working with healthcare data, including at least 2 years focused on payer data.
• Deep understanding of the US insurance market and relationships between PBMs and payers.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, analyzing and validating large data sets.
• Experience identifying new data sources, establishing extraction best practices and integrating them.
• Demonstrated experience in data governance, creating and enforcing standards and naming conventions.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to define data requirements across cross‑functional teams.
